Twin Falls, (IDAHO) Twin Falls High School 10th grader Jason Pruitt challenged his Advisory Class to raise money for childhood cancer research. His 11 year old sister Ellie has lymphoma and is undergoing treatment in Boise. Jason's Advisory Class is challenging other classes and schools to join in.
The classes which donate the minimum amount one dollar per student will be able to attend a special assembly on Friday, March 9th. The top 3 classes with the most donations will be given the first 3 rows of seating in the auditorium.
During the assembly, volunteer teachers, coaches and students will shave their heads, beards and legs to promote giving to cancer research and in honor of children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. Student council members led by Julian Kessel will be challanging other high schools to hold a fund raiser.
Ellie Pruitt has asked that funds raised be donated to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
if you would like more information call Twin Falls High School and ask for Ms. Vivian Wells, TFHS Librarian or contact Junior Class President Julian Kessler.
Kickin' Cancer For Ellie bracelets will be sold in the library for one dollar as well.
